Young generation of today is keen on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. More and more people are hitting the gym and are trying to get in shape. There is a new wave for healthy living that was not present about fifteen years ago. We carve to have a physique like our favorite actors on television. However, most of the time even after trying hard we are not able to get the desired results. One reason for this is the wrong approach or method of Building Muscles. One need to keep in mind a few important points while Building Muscles.

Calorie Intake

While Building Muscles, we need to keep a check on the number of calories we are consuming in a day. This amount must fit the required bracket based on age and built and anything less or more is simply not good.

Number of Sets and Repetitions

For Muscle Growth, one should not do more than 20 sets per muscle group. The growth of muscles is most when repetitions are kept around six to 12. One should do a set in around 40 to 70 seconds and complete workout in 45 minutes.

Pursue Progressive Overload

Increasing weights over the time is one important thing to do for Muscle Building. If we continue to lift same amount of weight, the muscles cannot grow. Human body is capable of adapting to various outside conditions. We can develop our muscles more by lifting more weights and making them adapt to the change.

Protein Rich Diet

Protein rich diet is a must for Building Muscles. Our body uses more proteins for development after weight training. One must eat protein rich food to give his muscles the nutritive strength to develop. Building Muscles is simply impossible without proper intake of proteins.

Drinking Enough Water

Drinking enough water is important for peak strength and energy level. We should consult an expert trainer who can guide on the amount of water intake required, keeping in mind the type and amount of exercise we are doing.

Avoid Cardiovascular Exercise

Cardiovascular exercise helps in breaking down the muscle tissues. It is good if the person wants to lose weight, but is not desirable if he wants to build muscles.

Sleep

Sleeping is very important for Building Muscles. The release of growth hormone reaches its peak while sleeping, the metabolic rate slows down and the blood flow to muscle increases. This helps the muscle tissues to repair and grow.
