Pandora for Android loaded with lock screen controls

A fresh release of Pandora's Android app hit Google Play, and it carries a light, but welcome changelog. New lock screen controls for hardware packing Ice Cream Sandwich or later flavors of Google's confection-themed OS headline the update. In addition, the revamp brings shortened startup times for the application and a track progress indicator that sports elapsed and remaining timestamps. Feedly?s New Mobile Apps Make Finding, Reading, and Saving the Best Reads Easier

iOS/Android: Feedly, our favorite Google Reader alternative, just updated its browser extensions, and now its mobile apps are getting some love too. A new UI makes swiping and sliding to stories simpler, and a new news discovery engine floats popular stories around the web to the top so you see them.

The new mobile updates are available now for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Android tablets. On every platform, you'll notice Feedly's will start suggesting articles to you in the "Today" section that, based on the feeds you read the most and have rated highly, the service knows you'll enjoy and thinks you should definitely read. Feedly users who browse on their phones will appreciate pull-to-refresh on all devices now, and a "title only" feed view that makes it easier to scan headlines without photos getting in the way.

If you're looking for something new to read, Feedly's new search and discovery tools make finding blogs and articles based on keywords and topics much easier than before. Annotary Marks Up Web Pages and Saves Them for Later Research

Chrome/Firefox/Safari: Whether you're researching a new car purchase or a term paper, you're probably going to be dealing with a lot of different web pages. Annotary lets you highlight and mark up sites, save them for later, and even share your research with collaborators.

Annotary exists as a browser extension for Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Just invoke the app on a page you're using for research, and it will present you with a toolbox to save the page to your Annotary bookmarks and mark it up. You can highlight relevant blocks of text, and then type your own annotations into an on-screen sticky note. Once you're done, the page and all of your notes will be saved to your Annotary account, and you can even share the marked up page on social media or through email.

In theory, this is pretty similar to the Evernote Web Clipper. However, I enjoy being able to make notes directly on the page itself, rather than just copying relevant passages to a separate app. Annotary is free, so give it a shot for your next research project.
